We are seeking an experienced Credit Review Supervisor to oversee credit review activities for Private Banking clients and the Cyprus Branch, ensuring robust credit assessment, effective workflow management, and compliance with the Bank’s credit policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

- Supervise daily credit review activities, including workflow distribution, workload prioritization, turnaround times, and service-level adherence.

- Review credit studies, assessments, and recommendations to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and sound credit judgment.

- Review, recommend, approve, or escalate credit applications, including complex, exceptional, and high-risk cases, within delegated authorities.

- Conduct and oversee comprehensive assessments of customers’ creditworthiness, repayment capacity, financial position, liabilities, cash flows, affordability, and overall risk profile.

- Review debt burden ratios, repayment sustainability, and other relevant financial and credit risk indicators.

- Review policy exceptions, override cases, ECL/Staging Overrides, and other exceptional cases, ensuring appropriate justification, documentation, and escalation.

- Oversee restructuring, rescheduling, settlement, and post-disbursement review activities and ensure appropriate credit analysis and documentation.

- Supervise employer and company assessments related to lending eligibility, including financial performance, operational stability, sector risks, repayment behavior, and periodic reassessments.

- Monitor credit quality, portfolio trends, exceptions, operational risk indicators, productivity, and turnaround times, and escalate significant observations where required.

- Ensure adherence to internal credit policies, delegated authorities, Central Bank requirements, Consumer Protection Instructions, governance standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

- Coordinate with Relationship Managers, Branches, Risk, and other relevant departments to address complex credit cases and resolve operational or credit-related matters.

- Participate in the review and implementation of credit products, campaigns, policy changes, and process enhancements, assessing their operational and risk implications.

- Identify workflow gaps and process inefficiencies and support digital transformation and continuous improvement initiatives within Credit Review.

- Prepare management reports and analytical insights covering portfolio quality, credit exceptions, productivity, operational risks, and key performance trends.

- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and ongoing support to team members, ensuring consistent application of credit policies, procedures, and assessment standards.

- Support team performance, workload continuity, and resource allocation during high-volume periods and changing business requirements.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

 

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

- 5–10 years of relevant banking credit experience, preferably within Credit Analysis, Credit Review, Credit Underwriting, Credit Approval, or a comparable credit function.

- Demonstrated experience in assessing complex individual and corporate credit cases.

- Strong exposure to Private Banking, corporate lending, self-employed customers, and non-standard credit facilities is highly preferred.

- Experience in structured financing arrangements and collateral-backed facilities is an advantage.

- Strong financial and credit analysis, risk assessment, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.

- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.

- Professional certifications in Credit Analysis, Financial Analysis, or Risk Management are considered an advantage.
