Data Governance Officer

Jordan Kuwait Bank is seeking Data Governance Officers to join our Data Management team. You will play a key role in implementing data quality frameworks, managing metadata and business glossaries, establishing governance policies, and ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and accessibility across the organization.

What We're Looking For:

Experience: ✔ 1-2 years in data management, data governance, data quality, metadata management, business intelligence, data analytics, or related fields

Skills & Knowledge: ✔ Good understanding of data management and data governance principles

• Knowledge of DAMA-DMBOK concepts and best practices
• Understanding of data quality dimensions, profiling, validation and issue management
• Familiarity with metadata management, business glossary, data catalog, and data lineage concepts
• Understanding of critical data elements and data ownership/stewardship
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks, policies, standards and controls
• Basic understanding of data privacy, data classification, and regulatory requirements
• Experience working with business and technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience with data governance or metadata tools is an advantage

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Information Systems, or related field , Professional certifications such as DAMA CDMP, Data Governance or Data Management certification are a plus
